Protestant Reformation:
Definition: A revolution that involved things that were economical and religious. For the religious reasons Martin Luther was a big part of the protestant revolution. The catholic counter reformation to be exact.

Catholic Counter- Reformation:
Definition: The Catholic-Counter reformation was caused by Martin Luther. He hung up his ninety-five theses that were wrong with the Catholic church. He made up his own definition of god's will. He was one of the people who took advantage of the printing press and used it to print out his work to spread his faith. Called Martin Lutherism.

Taki Onqoy:
Definition: Translated to "dancing sickness." Basically a reformation from the Chinese and Europeans so that the golden age of the Andean civilization would occur.

Jesuits in China:
Definition: Jesuits missionaries that found China and began to spread it's faith. Started in late 16th century and early 17th century. These Jesuits became an important part to China because of it's faith.

Wahhabi Islam:
Definition: An Islamic movement that was created by Muslims spreading their faith along different countries such as Europe. It was first led by Abd al Wahhab. The point of this movement was to inform everyone about the Islamic law.

Wang Yangmin:
Definition: A Chinese philosopher that disputed against Confucian teachings. He was establishing his own way of religious life. Since at the time the religion in China was Confucianism, he didn't think that the Confucian teachings were precise.

Kaozheng:
Definition: A Chinese movement that was about the ways of life. A period of a lot of reforms within the world.

Mirabai:
Definition: An India women who wrote poems about India's tradition. Many people enjoyed her poems and she was a well known poet in India. One of the only women poets at the moment.

Sikhism:
Definition: Small-scale religion that began in India that was founded by Guru Nanat. This religion combined the two religions of Hinduism and Islamic belief. Practiced by Indians and then came along to other places like China.

Copernicus:
Definition: Full name Nicolas Copernicus. He was Polish born in 1473 and died in 1543. Proposed the theory that the sun is at the center of the solar system and that the Earth rotated along it's axis. Disproved that the Earth wasn't the center of the solar system.

Newton:
Definition: Full name was Isaac Newton. He was an English scientist and mathematician. He came up with a theory of Earth's gravitational force. He also came up with three other laws of motion. Supposedly he was inspired by a falling apple.

European Enlightenment:
Definition: A movement started in the 18th century by the Europeans. It was the age of the enlightenment because of the new technology that was approaching at the time. Thought of it as a religion just like Christianity but it was called the European Enlightenment. Due to the scientific breakthrough.

Voltaire:
Definition: He was a French thinker who belonged to the Enlightenment movement. He was a deist and believed that the Enlightenment was the best possible form of government. His full name is Francois-Marie Arouet.

Condorcet and the Idea of Progress:
Definition: Marquis de Condorcet was the French philosopher that proposed the idea of congress. He believed that as we proceeded with the new science that it would lead to racism and troubles like that.
